Guide to Long Term Care Planning

Welcome to the National Care Planning Council's "Guide to Long Term Care Planning" We are happy to share this free, noncommercial resource with you and hope it will help you with your long term care planning needs. This site is designed to provide a complete source of instruction for people like you who are searching for vital information relating to long term care or elder care planning.

Contained here are 35 in-depth chapters, totaling over 690 printable pages, from 8 experts and covering all areas of long-term care planning, or as it's more commonly called, elder care planning.

We also provide numerous lists of care providers, advisors and specialized services in four categories of care needs. The links are found at the bottom of the right panel as well as at the end of the second list below, titled "Planning for Long Term Care".

Since the need for long term care will happen to about one out of every two people, everyone should plan for this eventual crisis in his or her life.  This need for care will usually happen at an older age, so we often call this, elder care.
