Without us, you must withhold taxes, pay taxes, and make all employee filings for income tax, social security, and unemployment.
We provide insurance
For your benefit, we provide workers' compensation insurance, professional liability insurance and bonding. Remember: if you hire a caregiver privately, homeowners' insurance does not cover your liability for claimed employee injury and lost wages.
We give seamless coverage
When your regular caregiver needs time off, falls ill or moves out of town, we ensure continued coverage.
We ensure quality
Only 1 in 8 applicants to Griswold Special Care becomes a caregiver, providing you with the best home care available. We train caregivers for specific circumstances and follow up with unannounced home visits and telephone calls to family members.
Personal & Supportive Care
Unlike nursing homes or assisted living facilities, home care provides you or your loved one with one-on-one care, tailored to your own specific needs. From two-hour shifts to twenty-four hour live-in services, we can be there exactly when you need us to assist with someone who:
Needs help with activities of daily living
Is alone or at risk for falls or injury
Has family living too far away to care for them
Is disabled or in a wheelchair
Needs help during a facility stay
Is recovering after a hospital, nursing home or rehabilitation center stay
Although many home care companies distinguish their services and fees between personal care, homemaking and companionship, Griswold Special Care caregivers can do it all for the same affordable fee. All our caregivers can assist with:
Bathing and dressing
Ambulating and transfers
Cooking and meal preparation
Transportation, shopping and errands
