Heather Van Nuys Serving King County Heather Van Nuys is a retired Superior Court Judge. She combines 22 years of experience from two levels of trial court with her specialized education in tax law. She completed her Masters of Law in Taxation at the University of Washington. Heather Van Nuys is a trained and experienced mediator. She settled many family, business, and injury cases while serving as a mediator while she was a trial court judge. She has experienced first-hand the long-term care of a loved-one at home. This fueled her passion to lleave the bench, return to the practice of law, and dedicate her practice to the needs of the elderly. She served as a member of the Washington State Certified Professional Guardian Board under the auspices of the Washington State Supreme Court.
